Showcasing the fine art of quilting with as many as 150 quilts at a time
The National Quilt Museum is the world’s largest and most prestigious museum devoted to quilts and fiber art. A destination for art enthusiasts worldwide, annually the Museum welcomes visitors from all 50 US states and over 40 foreign countries worldwide. The Museum’s onsite and travelling exhibits are viewed by over 110,000 people per year. The exhibits feature the most valuable, inspiring, and thought-provoking fiber art artifacts made by the most respected artists in the medium.
Located in a 27,000 square foot facility in historic downtown Paducah, Kentucky, the Museum’s three galleries feature exhibits of the finest quilt and fiber art in the world. The Museum’s vibrant and breathtaking exhibits are rotated 8-10 times per year. The Museum has received numerous accolades for the quality and the art exhibits. It has twice won the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence which is only awarded to the top 10% of attractions based on review score. Forbes Magazine called the Museum, “A Massive Tourist Attractions!” The St. Louis Dispatch commented, “It’s not unlike going to the art Museum in Chicago…it’s so unexpected.”
The Museum is open 10am to 5pm Monday through Saturday, also open Sunday 1pm to 5pm March through November. Special rates for groups of ten or more. RV and bus parking available. Located within walking distance of six local restaurants. Walking distance to the Civil War Museum, the Paducah Railroad Museum, and the Paducah Mural Floodwall.
